Crime Series (2020) is a collection of sociological fiction and poetry written during my doctoral project (2013-2018). This series of experimental ‘true crime’ fiction and poetry was created to playfully intervene in dominant ideas about crime and criminality. The works are based on a blend of criminological and sociological research (reading, interviews with people affected by criminal justice), news stories, rumours, fantasy, and personal experience.
