This year I collaborated with my colleague Hee Jung (Romie) Hong in Sports at the University of Stirling on a project that used creative writing to explore the issue of transitions and retirement from elite sports performance. As part of that I edited a collection of creative writing by the current and former athletes who participated in the project. It was really fascinating to work with this group and I’m excited about finding some time to start analysing the data from the project with Romie. The book is open access.
